Sigmund von Freud is a stunning and large 5 year old German Shepherd. Along with his large size, Sigmund has a big personality to match. He is an active boy, about mid-energy level, so he makes a great walking companion. He's mindful of his leash and will trot out ahead, but listens to corrections and walks past dogs not paying them much mind. In his time at the rescue, Sigmund has been brushing up on his dog manners. He can get a little pushy around new dogs and sometimes snippy, if challenged. However, under a watchful eye, Sigmund will back down when told. Sigmund is looking for a home that doesn't see a big beautiful dog just as a show piece but rather with people who see him as family and a partner -- a partner to go to classes with and teach him the skills that Sigmund is craving to learn. An experienced Shepherd owner would be ideal because Sigmund has shown to be responsive and respectful of strong, positive leadership. He will thrive at your side.
